4. Account Registration

5. Course Enrollment and Access
5.1 Enrollment
When you enroll in a course, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the course content for personal educational purposes. This license is valid for the lifetime of the course on our platform, subject to these terms.
5.2 Payment Terms
- All prices are displayed in GBP (£)
- Payment must be made in full before course access is granted
- Payments are processed securely through our payment partners (e.g., Stripe, PayPal)
- We do not store your full payment card details
5.3 Refund Policy
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days from the date of enrollment. To be eligible for a refund:
- You must request the refund within 14 days of purchase
- You must not have completed more than 25% of the course content
- The refund will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days

5.4 Free Courses
Free courses are provided at no cost but remain subject to these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free courses at any time without notice.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of UK laws and regulations
- Share, distribute, or resell course content without written authorisation
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users or instructors
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform or its servers
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
- Scrape, data mine, or use automated tools to extract content
- Violate any intellectual property rights
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Platform Content
All content on our platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, videos, software, and course materials, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights reserved.
7.2 Instructor Content
Instructors retain ownership of their course content. By publishing content on our platform, instructors grant us a limited license to host, distribute, and promote their courses through our services.
7.3 User-Generated Content
By submitting reviews, comments, or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with our services.
8. Certificate of Completion
Upon successful completion of a course, you may receive a certificate of completion. Certificates are provided for professional development purposes and do not constitute formal academic accreditation unless explicitly stated for specific programmes.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:
- AI Governance Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific course giving rise to the claim
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The platform and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content
- The uninterrupted or error-free operation of our services
- Specific employment outcomes from course completion
- Compatibility with your devices or software
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our services at any time if:
- You violate these Terms and Conditions
- You engage in fraudulent or unlawful activity
- We are required to do so by law
- We discontinue the service (with reasonable notice)
12. Modifications to Terms
We may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:

Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
